How do I create a group?
On the home screen, tap the Create button and choose New Group. Give it a name and you are ready to start adding expenses.

How do I create a trip?
Tap Create on the home screen and switch the picker to Trip. Add a name, an optional start and end date, and an optional budget. The trip shows a countdown until it ends.

How do I invite someone to a group or trip?
Open the group or trip, tap the members icon in the top right, then tap Invite Member. Share the invite link with the person you would like to add — they will need to have Splitsies installed.

How do I add an expense?
Inside a group or trip, tap the plus button and choose Add Expense. Enter the amount, description, and who paid. The cost is split equally between all members by default; you can change to exact, percentage, or shares.

How do settlements work?
The app calculates who owes whom based on all expenses. When someone pays their share, tap Record Settlement to mark the debt as cleared and update everyone's balances.

How do I archive a group or trip?
Once every balance reaches zero, the Archive action becomes available in the group or trip settings. Archiving moves it out of the active list without deleting any history.

How do I leave a group?
Open the group settings, then choose Leave Group. You can only leave once your balance is settled — make sure any outstanding amounts are recorded first.

How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account directly in the app from Profile → Delete Account. Deleting is permanent. Shared expenses, settlements, receipts, and exports that affect other group members may remain in minimized form (see the privacy policy), but your active account access and direct identifiers are removed immediately.
